Anodic Oxidation of Aluminum for Corrosion Protection and Object Decoration
Natural anodizing
The anodic oxidation treatment of aluminum protects the aluminum object from natural oxidation preserving its original aesthetic appearance.
Through this galvanic-type process, surface hardening is obtained (measured in microns of thickness) and corrosion by external agents is avoided.
The “Natural” anodizing, which we could identify as a “basic” treatment, is particularly suitable for those products with the main functional value and not purely aesthetic.
Additional Finishing Processes
Chemical-brightening
The chemical-brightening allows to obtain shiny (BRILL) or semi-gloss surfaces and, after mechanical polishing, “mirror” surfaces (lamp reflectors).
It is made in combination with anodic oxidation.
The latter is particularly appreciated in the lighting sector, in the cosmetics sector and in the furniture sector (handles and kitchen panels).
In lighting lamps it’s indeed very important that the internal reflector of the lamp is as smooth and shiny as possible, so that the light rays can be reflected with the minimum of dispersion.
Chemical opaque finish
This treatment gives the surface of the object in aluminum a matt finish.
The chemical opaque finish allows to reduce and often to eliminate the surface marks resulting from the mechanical processing of the tool or the drawing equipment.
Matt finish
This type of finish is the combination of opaque finish with the chemical-brightening one.
It is reserved for details with high aesthetic value and gives an immage and a surface structure called by many “silk effect” for its delicacy and particularity.
Organic colour
All objects processed with the treatments indicated above can also be colored in the whole range of organic pigments available on the market.
Our strenght is to be able to offer our customers some “combined” colors that meet the need for couplings with different material details or requests for colors such as “titanium” (underwater sector) or “aquamarine” (cosmetic sector).
