Direct Digital Printing for the Decoration and Customization of Flat and 3D Surfaces
Over the last few years, digital printing machines running on three-dimensional objects have seen significant and continuous improvements in terms of producitivity, functional and aesthetic characteristics of the decorated artefact.
The fields of application have progressively expanded to more complex materials and shapes:
- glass bottles and plastic caps for the cosmetic sector
- panels, components and objects both for the various industrial sectors and for the sports and leisure sectors.
Today it’s possible to assess whether direct digital printing is cost-effective compared to the classic alternative mechanical analogical techniques.
The use of suitable primers and correct inks guarantees high aesthetic and functional standards.
The possibility of avoiding the installation of important graphic equipment (necessary in screen printing, especially in multi-color printing), it allows to develop ambitious aesthetic projects with relatively contained economic investments even in the context of quantitatively limited production series.
